A very entertaining film was created to give not only the pure entertainment to the viewers but of course to give the ultimate satisfaction. This movie entitled “Priest” is a very excellently-made film.
Priest, a western-fused post-apocalyptic thriller, is set in an alternate world — one ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires. The story revolves around a legendary Warrior Priest (Paul Bettany) from the last Vampire War who now lives in obscurity among the other downtrodden human inhabitants in walled-in dystopian cities ruled by the Church. When his niece (Lily Collins) is abducted by a murderous pack of vampires, Priest breaks his sacred vows to venture out on an obsessive quest to find her before they turn her into one of them.
The priests are easy to spot because they have a sizable red cross tattooed on their foreheads and always look annoyed. You would, too, if you had a thing like that in the middle of your face. This newfangled priesthood even has gals — Maggie Q gets her own tattoo and scowl beneath her cowl. And Christopher Plummer is the warrior priests’ boss, a media-savvy monsignor who grants absolution via TV screens in automated confessionals in the middle of the decaying megacity
